Rice Dispenser Reviews

When it comes to food its improtant to store it properly so your rice is ready to enjoy at any time.

What is a Rice Dispenser

Rice Dispensers are convient storage units for holding and storing rice at home. Larger Industrial rice dispensers for resturant enviroments are also avalible.  Rice dispensers are designed to keep rice dry, fresh and insect free while giving easy access to grab 1 cup or ½ a cup of rice with at the press of a button or pull of a drawer.  Plus a major advantage with any rice dispenser unit is that you can easily top up rice without having to worry about the old rice being used first!  This is a major benefit compared to using a plastic tupperware container to store yoru rice.

Benefits of Rice Dispensers

Many problems can be found when it comes to storing rice, some of which are:  Keeping rice fresh, tidily having rice stored, storing rice in bulk, having easy access, using the older rice first, keeping insects out etc. There are even more problems which can be found but with use of a simple product such as a rice dispenser all these issues are avoided. Below we discuss some features of rice dispensers:

Easy Access – No Spillages

When you want to quickly add rice to a rice cooker or pan; you really just want to do the minimum amount of steps to measure out the rice. This is exactly what the you get with a rice dispenser.  You can simply walk over to the dispenser and push a button to access a ready measured amount of rice, typically one press can give you exactly one cup of rice!

First In First Out – Use the old Rice first

Proper storage of food is vital especially with rice as it can degrade over time.  When you buy rice you want to use the older grains first rather than the newer grains which you have just purchased.  Obviously this is so you don’t waste food by having it spoil over time. When you buy a proper rice dispensers this problem is covered and you have nothing to worry about. Typically rice dispensers are designed to place newly purchased rice grains at top and any rice dispensed comes out bottom. That means all the older rice is always used first! Isn’t that just wonderful?

Air Sealed – Dry, Fresh & Insect Free Rice

Have you ever gone to grab some rice and found small insects inside…yuck! You really don’t want to be finding that.  Air sealing blocks all access to your rice in order to keep it dry, fresh and insect free.

Good Appearance – No Tatty Bags Lying Around

No longer will you have to fumble with half full bags of rice lying around nor will you have to mess around with stacked rice containers.  Let’s be honest with many stacked plastic containers around things can become a mess in your kitchen. Many of us have used such containers to store rice but proper dispensers are the modern upgrade and look nice and tidy in your kitchen.

These are just a few common features of which all rice dispensers aim to have. Therefore differnet models of rice dispenser will have different features and enhancements to separate them from each other and to satisfy your specfic requirements.

Plastic Containers VS Rice Dispensers

Rice dispensers are not the only method for storing rice, another common method is using plastic tupperware containers. However, as mentioned above, rice dispensers are really the upgrade of plastic containers as they are specifically designed to store rice.  Additionally the following describes why plastic containers are so good:

Contamination

Generally speaking plastic containers are good for air sealing and keeping contaminates away. However not all plastic containers are great for this. When accessing rice most of us will go and move the container onto the table top, remove the lid and set it down on the counter. Why is this bad? Well as we know tabletops can be full of germs and contaminates so when you’re placing the container into the contaminated area and continually moving the container around every time you access rice, you are simply giving more access for contaminants to the rice. But with rice dispensers you tend not to move them around, instead they remain static at a set position on yoru tabletop.

The first rice in, will be the first out

There is no structure to ensure older rice is used first when using cheap containers.  Alternatively, rice dispensers always ensure any older rice is dispensed first which means you are never storing particular grains of rice for longer than necessary.

Easy Access

Really, when it comes to fetching rice from plastic containers there is a high chance of spillage.  If you spill rice it can be tempting to simply scoop it up and put it directly back into the container.  However that can lead to contamination of the rice. Rice Dispensers do not have this problem so get yours today.
